21 3 月 Exobots INO Guide
INO and Main net
The arrival of the INO and our launch on Main net of the BNB Chain is a very important step for the EXOS token ecosystem.
With this INO our intention is to launch the first NFT with a small initial sale of 500 units so that from then on the community will be responsible for generating new robots through the in-game feature of ‘Merge’ where from two robots can generate a third.
During INO there will be two purchase options, 1 EXOBOT or 1 SQUAD consisting of 3 totally random EXOBOTs, this option will have a discount compared to the option of buying 3 EXOBOTs in the unitary format.
How the Merge works
The word Merge is the one chosen by the Exobots team to call the process of creating new robots, which in other games is known as Breeding.
The Merge is an in-game only option where players will be able to merge two Exobots to create a third one, although this does not mean that neither of the two you are going to use will disappear.
The first thing you must do for this is to have Capsules which can only be acquired in the Exobots Marketplace. NOTE: For the balance to appear correctly you must link your MetronID in the game, in your personal profile, and in the marketplace also in your profile.
Each Merge will consume a certain amount per box and will always consume the Merge cost of the highest Exobot. That is to say, if you are going to make a Merge between a robot that has consumed 1/6 Merges and another with 3/6 Merges it will consume the one with the highest cost, 4 capsules in this case.
The cost table is as follows:
Genes in the Merge
Let’s clarify some points and explain how the genetics of the Exobots work. Each Exobot has a table of 18 genes that form its statistics and cards.
The Main Routine is the one that has the most weight since it is the one that visually forms how your Exobot is, besides giving you the cards with which you will be able to play. In addition the Core is defined as the majority of equal genes in the Main Routine of the Exobot, in the example below we have in the main routine: 3xRenovator, 1x Sumrak, 1xGroundsmasher and 1xCodebreaker. This will define that the robot will have a Renovator Core which will give it a specific stats boost for this kind of Exobot. NOTE: In case of a tie in genes the Core will be randomized between those two options that have tied.
Having explained the genes and the importance of the Main Routine we are going to explain with an example how the Exobot Merge works. For this we are going to use as an example the ‘Helmet’ of two robots although this process is the same for each of the 6 parts.
Helmet Exobot.1
Helmet Exobot.2
When generating the Genes you will take into account that for the Main Routine there is a greater chance of getting Renovator or Stronghold, but this does not mean that you are limited to those two options only, you could also get any of the Sub1 or Sub2 with less probability.
That is to say, in this case we could make a Merge between a ‘Renovator’ and a ‘Stronghold’ but we could get a ‘Scapmaster’ Helmet. The probability is lower but it can still happen.
After the Merge process, Kat, our fixer will add it to our in-game inventory and it will automatically appear in the marketplace. Although the process is complex to master, it must be taken into account that there are certain rules for Exobots:
– If they are considered offspring, direct ancestry or share some of the Exobot Source they will not have the merge available to each other.
Application changes
From now on the application and the Exobots game will be in Beta phase but in main net while we monitor possible bugs. The ‘Generate Squad’ button inside the ‘Squad’ window will disappear so now your account will get 3 free Exobots with which you will not be able to make P2E content, this will require NFT Exobots marked as ‘Digital Collectible’ in the game.
NOTE: In the Merge window, robots that are not Digital Collectible will not be able to merge.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped us with testing during the Testnet period.
What’s coming next to Exobots?
In Exobots we now have two goals to achieve in the short term: to encourage an EXOS staking that is as gamified as possible. We would not like the only motivation of the staking to be the traditional one, but we want to give it an in-game incentive. We are actively working on it and we hope to have news soon.
Respect to the Exobots a recurring theme is the customization that can be given and we have realized that we can do it but that some cards already have a complex system and if we want to add even more, it will be even more complex. That’s why we are going to present changes in some cards to simplify the effect they make and that through objects you can customize the combat mode that best suits your needs, that’s why for example. Currently the ‘Laser Recoil’ does damage to the enemy and lowers the defense, from this update it will only do damage to the enemy but by means of equipable objects in each Exobot you will have the possibility to add an effect or even make the firing mode change.
This represents a very deep customization of the Exobots so that no two fights will be the same since each player will adapt his game mode to his needs.
This is just part of what we have in store that we are sure you will love. Stay tuned for more news!
See you in Metron City, raiders!
